Bi-polar tape: the great innovation

The new Anti-Impact Safety Bi-polar Fencing differs from all other tapes because it combines both the phase and ground in a single ribbon.

This characteristic makes it ideal for all applications and especially for those where it is difficult to find sufficient soil moisture to properly propagate the electrical impulse, or when the ground is too frozen or too rocky to insert the ground stake at sufficient depth.

Differences compared to traditional anti-impact safety electric fencing:

  • optional ground stake
  • the tape contains both phase and ground simultaneously
  • the accessories: handles, connection clips, tensioners and connectors are insulated

What remains unchanged:

  • performance
  • spacing between posts (maximum 5 meters)
  • insulators
  • the energizer

The upper part of the tape in green color identifies the positive pole, the lower part in brown color identifies the ground, therefore the negative pole. In this way the tape will always function regardless of soil conditions.

The 4 cm tape will function with the same deterrent effect as the traditional Badi Farm tape. In fact, after the first negative experience with the tape, the fencing will act as a visual barrier and the horse will respect it.

Features:

  • 10 stainless steel wires of 0.40 mm diameter – formidable electrical conduction with maximum power even with vegetation contact
  • 31 polyethylene wires of 0.50 mm diameter, protected against UV sun rays
  • 2 anti-impact polyester wires of 0.80 mm at the edges of the tape, making stretching and elongation impossible

Examples of bi-polar tape use

Connections with the teflon cable (green for the phase and brown for the ground) are always made at a tensioner Ref. 44BP. The tape must be positioned with the green part facing upward and the brown part (ground) facing downward.

The teflon cable also follows the same principle: green cable connected to the green part of the tape, brown cable connected to the brown part of the tape.
