Installation and possible solutions

How to install a DOG WATCH HIDDEN FENCE system: What are the plans and what to do?

When planning your installation for a DOG WATCH invisible fence, a few things must be observed: first is to think of a closed circuit, that is a perimeter loop of the entire area you want to fence, making an estimate in meters of the perimeter. Second is where to place the transmitter, which is usually positioned in a garage or shelter under some roof, always under control. The third thing you need to plan well are possible areas such as flower beds, vegetable gardens, pools or other areas you want to fence. The fourth is to call us to order your system.

How to do the work: who can do it.

Installing the system is very easy: an electrician and a gardener, if you want to hide the cable in your garden, following the paper instructions and the video provided with your purchase. But don't worry because you can also install it yourself, even if you don't have much experience. The installation is: once you've set the points mentioned above, lay the cable, either above ground fixed with cable ties to the existing fence, or below laid under the turf: you must start from where you will place the transmitter. When you approach the vegetable garden or flower bed you want to delimit, delimit it and between the vegetable garden or flower bed twist the two cables that return to the fence with at least 6 or 8 turns every 10cm. When you reach the perimeter fence, cut it and join it with the connectors (the signal in the section where you twisted the cables will be canceled, allowing the dog to pass freely).

Once back at the transmitter, connect the wires in the surge protector box and then to the transmitter, just make contact to immediately verify if we have laid the cables properly as a green OK light will light up right away. At this point insert the tester on the collar and with the flags in hand understand the limits of the field and insert the flags in the ground so they remain a reference point for the dog as well. Put the collar on the dog and follow the training or acclimatization period.
