Our Safety Impact-Proof Electric Fencing is the top of technology. For this species, you just need to follow the notes relating to wild boar in the appropriate chapter on wild animals.

In fact, pigs are also very sensitive to electrical current, and therefore if the fence is large enough and they have space, they will not try to escape even with just a single tape placed at approximately 25/30 cm from the ground. This fencing is also widely used when trying to prevent them from digging holes under conventional fences to escape.

The concept on which it is based is not only mechanical strength, maintained at approximately 400kg, but the fact that the animal becomes respectful and avoids it without even touching it after the first experience with the electrical current. Our system is based on IMPACT-PROOF TAPE, but includes electrifiers, insulators, posts, tensioners and a wide range of accessories in stainless steel, allowing for all solutions.

FIRST: Electricity will sting the animal every time it attempts to approach the fence. Our electric fences, if properly installed, follow this rule. Each application has its own characteristics.

SECOND: The visual barrier (created by the tape) represents an obstacle that is clearly visible and wide for the animal, making it difficult to overcome. Furthermore, when it attempts to pass through the electrified fence, its instinct will remind it: "No, there the fence is too painful, I cannot pass through, I need to find another exit". It is to meet this need that at least two or three heights of tape are necessary, of course placed at the correct height, namely 15, 30 and 50 cm from the ground!

THIRD: By using specifically prepared nets, the deterrent of electricity is combined with the physical ability of a specially designed net to contain the animal. A great success!

The presence of a valid electrified fence in pig farms is among the measures required by the Health Authorities to strengthen BIO-SECURITY in farms against the ASF (African Swine Fever) emergency.

We at Badi Farm, with over 30 years of experience in the field of Electrified Fencing, are today at the forefront to design and supply a valid electrified fence to strengthen biosecurity measures in farms. With the Safety Impact-Proof Electrified System, it is indeed possible to prevent direct contact between domestic pigs and external wild animals such as wild boar. Among the requirements requested by the Authorities is the construction of traditional metallic fences on the outer side of the perimeter and a valid electrified system spaced approximately 100 cm from the net on the inner side of the fence. The 100 cm distance will prevent muzzle-to-muzzle contact between pigs in the farm and any wild boar present outside.

Please note that if the farm is located in an area with a high presence of wild boar and wild animals, an additional electrification external to the perimeter one should be provided, always marked by appropriate electric presence signs ref. 27.

We at Badi Farm want to provide support with this email for the design of an effective electrified fence according to our field experience, supporting anti-intrusion and containment fences for national and regional parks, health authorities and hundreds of installations for private individuals to protect crops and land.

We suggest the application of at least 2-3 turns of 13 mm or 20 mm Safety Impact-Proof Electrified Tape REF.M2 and REF.M1, placed at different heights from each other and with a minimum height from the ground of 10 cm and a maximum of 60 cm. For biosecurity to be truly strengthened, it is necessary to rely on a valid and patented Electrified System.

Our BADI FARM Safety Impact-Proof Electrified System consists of electrified tape guaranteed for 10 years. The tape is designed to have high mechanical resistance and extraordinary conductivity throughout the entire perimeter and maximum power even with vegetation contact. Badi Farm tape is also made of polyethylene mesh with 0.50 mm diameter designed to resist the sun's UV rays and impact-proof polyester wires (the same material and type of processing as seatbelts) with 0.80 mm at the edges of the tape that make stretching and extension impossible.

Another feature of Badi Farm tape is the choice to use stainless steel conductive wires. We do not use galvanized or tropicalized metals because over the years there is a risk of finding yourself with a rusty tape and consequently a significant reduction in performance. In addition to the tape, the choice of electrifier is important. The beating heart of the entire system where voltage and electrical intensity must be adequate and constantly monitored. Several electrification units are available in the catalog depending on whether you need 220v power supply or 12v gel battery and solar panel to maintain the battery. REF.E7 and REF.E8

To support, hook and keep the tape in the correct position, we can rely on a solid insulator. The insulator ref. 9N is resistant to intense sun during the hottest months of the year, well-built and perfectly "isolates" the tape, avoiding losses.

Our Badi Farm Safety electrified fences work so well even under vegetation contact stress that we often forget to do basic maintenance such as cutting vegetation under the tape or cutting plants that touch the tape along the perimeter.

We always suggest being consistent with routine maintenance to avoid excessive performance drop of the system. If cutting grass under the tape is not possible, we recommend using a strip of perimeter mulch fabric to be fixed in the line under the tape. Then frequently check the fence performance with the tester REF.18 and REF.19 to intervene in time on the weakest points of the fence.
