A powerful energizer

• Some horses, like humans, are less sensitive than others to electric current; now, the more current there is, the better it is.
• A well-electrified fence will be respected and therefore will not need thick and heavy posts, which are normally more expensive and more difficult to install.
• The good impedance of our energizers makes them difficult to short-circuit, resistant to load losses and grounding issues.
• But above all, a super powerful energizer will effectively and permanently punish the horse, even before it touches the tape, thanks to a spark of approximately 5mm or 8mm that will surprise it. If it's winter and it's humid, even when it tries to pass underneath with its mane, it will be hit. With a less powerful energizer, it's not difficult to see horses grazing on grass on the other side of the tape; the spark effect described above doesn't work that way.
• Finally, since you will always be adding more fences, grasses will climb onto the tape, it will dry out and other things will happen; it's better to have more power.

Never connect the current directly to the tape; it will be practically impossible to connect all 10 stainless steel wires stably at the same time. In fact, precisely because these are supported and woven by a network of 0.50mm polyethylene wires, someone will not touch your weak contact and will begin to give small electrical discharges that over time will damage the tape.

This is why the tensioner Rif. 44 is essential, as it is specifically designed to provide good electrical connection, and to ensure that the tape wrapped around its stainless steel buckle has all 10 of its conductive wires connected.
