Bipolar tape

Bi-Polar Tape

The new Bi-Polar Safety Impact Fencing tape stands out from all other tapes because it combines both the positive and negative poles within itself.

Bi-Polar Tape: the major innovation

This feature makes it ideal for all applications and especially in situations where it's difficult to find sufficient soil moisture to effectively conduct the electrical pulse, or when the ground is too frozen or too rocky to insert the ground stake at a sufficient depth.

Differences compared to traditional electrical impact safety fencing:

  • ground stake optional
  • both positive and negative poles are present in the tape simultaneously
  • accessories: handles, connection brackets, tensioners and connectors are insulated

What remains unchanged:

  • performance
  • post spacing (maximum 5 meters)
  • insulators
  • the energizer

The upper part of the tape is green in color and identifies the positive pole; the lower part is brown in color and identifies the ground, therefore the negative pole. In this way, the tape will always function regardless of soil conditions.

The 4 cm tape will function with the same deterrent effect as the traditional Badi Farm tape. In fact, after the first negative experience with the tape, the fencing will serve as a visual barrier that the horse will respect.

Features:

  • 10 stainless steel wires of 0.40 mm diameter – outstanding electrical conduction and maximum power even when in contact with vegetation
  • 31 polyethylene wires of 0.50 mm diameter – protected against UV rays from the sun
  • 2 impact-resistant polyester wires of 0.80 mm at the tape edges – make elongation due to stretching impossible

Examples of bi-polar tape usage

Cable connections with Teflon coating (green for positive and brown for ground) are always made at a tensioner Rif. 44BP. The tape should be positioned with the green part facing upward and the brown part (ground) facing downward.

The Teflon cable follows the same principle: green cable connected to the green part of the tape, brown cable connected to the brown part of the tape.

System with bi-polar tape

Here is a small example of how to create a Safety Impact Fencing system with Bi-Polar Tape:
