"Keeping wild animals away from our property without harming them"
...this is the result that we at Badi Farm manage to achieve with our Shockproof Security Electrified System. The tangible and effective result is also approved and used by national and regional parks, and ATCs.
Unwanted animals, once they perceive the presence of a powerful electrified barrier, change direction and do not try to invade the property. No animal is trapped or injured... of course, to make the System work, every component must be suitable and installed correctly.
The products we suggest are designed to withstand the test of time and always allow maximum electrical conduction: stainless steel buckles and connectors, plastics resistant to high summer temperatures, a certified energizer capable of transmitting electricity at maximum power, and finally, the Shockproof Security Electrified Tape (with a 10-year Badi Farm warranty) capable of withstanding weathering and impacts, but above all, designed to conduct all the energizer's power.
One of the most common applications for our fences is anti-intrusion for wild boars.
Why build an anti-intrusion fence for wild boars? To:
Huge destroyers of vegetable gardens, cornfields, vineyards, and other crops, they can be easily contained by our fences. The fence can be placed both in open fields and in wooded areas.
You can use the Ref. 12/2 and Ref. 12/3 posts/insulators; in the corners, a stronger post like Ref. 47 with two Ref. 9V insulators is required. By attaching our 12-volt or 220-volt powered energizers, the game is done: they won't come near anymore. You will see, they are very smart and will walk all around the outside of the fence to find a passage.
You will be able to overcome any obstacle, whether going uphill or downhill, by increasing the number of wooden posts or 12/2 posts to be inserted into the ground. In the case of depressions, a little trick: insert the 12/2 post into a concrete block (with two holes) and cement it.
Obviously, the posts/insulators must be oriented with the lowest tape facing the side where the animals to be repelled are located.

Maintenance under the fences is recommended on a monthly basis in May, June, July, and late August. Two options: you can use our electrified mulching fabric which allows an excellent electrical potential and thus helps to repel the wild boar. Another system: brush cutter or flame weeding.
Our fences are powered by the Ref. E7 energizer, powered by an R31 battery and recharged by the Ref. PS1 solar panel. The installation of the solar panels must be done by positioning the panel at 45° facing south. Two or three heights of 13 or 20 mm tape are indicated for these animals, the posts can be positioned every 4 or 5 meters.

Here are the STARTER KITS, everything you need to fence a perimeter of 125 m or 250 m.

Premise: After years of different installations and applications, we propose the system that our experience has determined to be the best for containing wildlife and wild boars in particular, so much so that the system we are going to describe has more than 5 patents (in the Ref. 12/2 posts, Ref. 9N insulators, Ref. E7 energizer, Ref. 35V tensioners, and Ref. B/M1 Shockproof Security Electrified tape).
Operating principle: power and ethology. Studies on the sensitivity level of wild boars have shown that to make them retreat or change course, there must be at least 3,000 - 4,000 Volts on the line.

It comes naturally to consider that to contain these animals, several factors must be taken into account: the visibility of the containment barrier, its resistance, the transmissibility of the electrical impulse, the insulation of the circuit underlying the system's functionality, and building a multi-height system (at least two). Other very important parameters are the solidity of the system, assistance, minimal maintenance on the electrified line, and its robustness. Our system meets all these needs and uses a special tape with characteristics and performances that make it highly visible to animals.
Studies have shown that while a sheep or goat tests the electrical impulse at least twice over a 15-hour period, for wild boars this interval is much longer and sometimes reaches up to two days. A highly visible electrified obstacle will quickly become an impassable passage and therefore provoke a change in the direction of wild boar groups.

With around 180 working installations in Italy, we have noticed that females with offspring in late summer or during winters with major climatic disruptions are the most problematic subjects. In fact, they usually move in small herds formed by their entire family and, if running, trample all obstacles. For their best containment, the fence must be placed in a clear area at least one or one and a half meters from the forest or wooded area.
The tape's resistance and the system's flexibility (like the offset Ref. 12/2 posts) allow it to cushion the blow dealt by the wild boar's charge. So not only force and power, but also intelligence and experience to control wild boars.
Here is the example of a fence safeguarding a golf club: the use of Ref. B1 tape and Ref. 12/2 posts solves the problem. If well tensioned, it is an excellent deterrent but also a valuable aesthetic element!
Here is an application on the Canadian hills to defend an orchard. Every aspect has been taken care of in the smallest details. In places where the slope changes and at the corners, a wooden post Ref. 47P and Ref. 35V tensioners or simply Ref. 9F are used. Note that an appropriate space has been left between the orchard and the fence.

To contain wild boars in defense of crops. The repopulation of wild boars has brought significant problems, here is how they were solved at the Abruzzo National Park! Corners fixed and insulators mounted with tensioners. Ref 12/3 posts positioned taking care not to exceed the distance of 4/5m from each other. The tape is laid out, gates are set up, and electrical connections are defined.

And here is how to connect the special wild animal energizer Ref. E7 with its 150 cm long cable Ref. 59L. Its galvanized iron container protects it from bad weather, guaranteeing durability and efficiency. Here is where to house the long-life battery, Ref. 31. The result is optimal and functional.

Send us the measurements of the land to be fenced, we will design your Shockproof Security Fence together
An electrified gate stops wild boars! But not cars!
Our tape is resistant, so much so that if multiple strips are placed using the special Road Gate Kit, no four-legged animal will cross that gap again out of fear of the current it knows well. Think about it: the tape positioned this way, without stones or anything else that could damage it, lasts about 2 years. Obviously, we must drive over it at a walking pace.
But as you can see from the photo, placing the Ref. E4 energizer so you can turn it on and off... makes everything easier!
