Midge Control

Midges, sand flies... are an impossible nuisance for all animals and beyond, at certain temperatures they even become real "blood-suckers". We've tested a solution: NOMIDGE and it works! It's always a biological treatment based on small organisms, in this case mites that are predators of midges!

To be applied twice a year or as needed - once at the first sign of infestation and again after one month. Obviously do not combine with insecticides!

NOMIDGE: one package contains 250,000 predators and covers an area of approximately 180 m². Cost: 110,00€ (VAT 4% included)

Rif. BF MOSCERINI NOMIDGE

Package of 250,000 predators, biological treatment against midges.

€ 116,00 (VAT inc.)

Here are some important details:

Where to place them: first identify where midges breed - damp areas usually in shade, near small woods or shaded zones, but also under long grass;

How to apply them: distribute the contents of our package using a small shovel or scoop

If placing in paddocks:

should the treatment be done on the perimeter or entire surface? On the perimeter but not the whole perimeter, only where you suspect midges breed. If you need to treat 100 linear meters, apply over a width of 0.5 m x 100 linear m = 50 m² so approximately 1/3 of the package

Does rain matter? No, unless it's torrential.

When to treat? It's impossible to define the month in advance as it depends heavily on seasonality. As soon as you see the first active midge forms, it's time to act. Keep in mind you'll need to plan your purchase as we need a couple of weeks to produce them

For lawns, how to apply:

where to concentrate the spread? Where you see midges appearing, as mentioned above

Over entire surface or perimeter? Same concept as paddocks - targeted zones

Does outside temperature matter? Yes, temperature must be at least 18/20° C but humidity also has a major impact, which is why we must identify the breeding zone (where midges breed is usually damp)

Indoor areas such as stalls or shelters

in this case, since they are not parasites but predators, begin treatment as soon as you see the first active forms
