What is it and how does it work?
CATALYST ENZYMES is a natural product based on enzymes, proteins produced by bacteria found in the intestine; these, after careful selection, are allowed to reproduce and multiply in culture media.
Catalyst Enzymes is a product specially formulated for Badi Farm, which uses a special blend of enzymes and catalysts, designed to digest organic matter and guarantee a significant reduction of ammonia (transformed into mineral salts) without raising the temperature of the bedding and altering the optimal parameters for the horse's life.
Dirty, untreated bedding is a biological "bomb"; in fact there are many bacterial colonies that we cannot see with the naked eye; these, if not properly managed through daily cleaning etc., cause serious health problems for the horse, from frog rot to irritation of the mucous membranes of the respiratory system caused by ammonia fumes that reduce athletic performance.
Used by many stables and also used in our own breeding facility! It is a natural product, non-toxic, non-corrosive and harmless to humans, animals and the environment.
Permanent catalyzed bedding or traditional bedding?

- With traditional bedding, during normal stall cleaning approximately 30% to 40% of still clean material is discarded.
- Bedding, in addition to absorbing liquids, must support the horse's weight and therefore must be soft; traditional bedding is not suitable because it is thin and often the horse pushes it aside, then resting on the hard floor and developing capped hocks or sores.
- Urine in traditional bedding produces ammonia fumes that irritate the mucous membranes of the respiratory system, predisposing it to disease and reducing athletic performance; even with the use of strong disinfectants the same irritating effect is achieved.
- Due to the fermentation that always accompanies bedding decomposition, there can be bacteria that cause problems to the horse's general health and foot infections.
